Today I pulled my tail light to work on installing turn signal relocating kit in order to utilize removable back rest. I couldn't believe the amount of crude that fell out from behind the tail light. There are two access holes through the fender into the tail light base for the signal wires as well as the harness. These holes are OPEN so any water and crude kicked up by the tire can get in and stay in. WTH kind of design is this? Anyone else notice this?

Ever wonder how to park a big motorcycle and be able to turn it around in a small space.

I meant to post this a few months ago, I recently replaced the stock (and cracked) fuel inlet elbow on my '94 Glide CV carb, supplied by CVP. I must admit to being very apprehensive about doing this not wanting to crack the carb body. Anyway I found the job very straightforward but made even easier by freezing the brass connector and at the same time warming the carb body on the range cooker. You can feel the slight difference in fit by doing this and a careful sqeeze in the vice completes the job - relief !!

Has anyone ever switched the stock CV carb accelerator pump jet for a CVP version ? I have bought a replacement but I am not sure how the stock jet is removed.

Hi guys, did a complete carb rebuild with CVP parts and the bike runs better than ever, the one issue I have is starting from cold, on full choke the bike fires but stops this goes on for maybe 7 or 8 times until finally it runs ok. It sounds like a fuel problem but once the bike has warmed up I can knock the choke off and it ticks over sweetly at sub 500 rpm. The choke is working, if I pull the choke back on when the bike is warmed up the revs increase. There are no back-fires or coughs when I am riding and I changed the petcock to run without vacuum. Any ideas ??
