Wow ..first I put a Mikuni on a softail...this dude already has the gear drive and chain driven with a valve job....he wanted something else...so I hooked him up with a buddy that had a brand new mikuni(I actually had it now for two years on a shelf) and sold it....... then installed it..dialed it in..!!!
That was fun!!! and EZ!!!.. it only took a bit to dial it...in 1-3 gears the thing is puling the wheels!!
sweet paint job he did it himself....and he rides wild....got home feeling good about that and ended up fixing my neighbor's newly bought 1961 tecumseh snow blower, roto-tiller. fella told him it ran last year...(I think he night have meant last year it ran was 1964) anyways.. a 50 dollar buy for it...ended up
150 dollars later finally almost running..I took the magical screw...

Hey I was on the Kury homepage and saw a bracket that'll hold your CV carb in place while it also allows for the fumes to leave the cylinder heads and let oil drain back instead of into the air cleaner. Pretty cool bracket in all for a 50 bucks......right now I got the drilled bolts facing upwards and the fallopian tubes(as I call them) connected into a T and a hose running outward... I could ditch all that stuff...thought I'd give it a try and see..ordering it tomorrow.....

Hello, new to forum
I have 90 FLHTCU tour bike. sbc - heads, cometic .030 head gaskets, bored .005 over, carb been rejetted/slide worked,hi-flow se a/c, ev27 cam, adjustable p-rods, se ignition module, v/h 2 into 1 pro pipe. less than 10,000 miles on build.
Problem : at 3000 rpm >< looses power. 60-70 tops in 5th gear. just bogs down and won't go.
I have checked :
1. carb has been taken apart and cleaned jets -- was ok--same power loss
2. checked for leaking intake --- was ok ---same power loss
3. replaced the ignition mod with the stock one. --- same power loss
4. checked all wires for raw places. --- none so far
5. cleaned the petcok filter and petcock. --- ok --same loss
6. checked voe switch for closing at 5-6 in vac. -- ok -- same loss
7. checked the pickup...

so i have beeen wanting to change my transmission pulley,
i been reading and re-reading my dam service manual, even took it into the bathroom for quiet time reading.........
no matter how many times i read it, i just dont get it........
was wondering if they make a HD manual for dummies???
one with lots more pics........
looks like i am gonna have to pay the 200$ from the local stealer, to have it put in...............
wich chaps my ass, knowing i cant understand or comprehend what i want to do.................

Anyone4 use the Blaster from motorcycledryer.com if so I am interested in what you think, at over $200 US it seems a bit pricey, found a real deal here in Canada- we have a store on the praries called PEAVEY MART, they sell lots of lower budget tools and farm and household items including some good stuff. I bought a vacuum-blower tonite for $ 79.00 Cdn that looks exactly the same as the Blaster, has a 3 HP continuous motor and comes with all the same accessories as the Blaster including a well made storage bag. It is made in China but really does work well and the price you just can't complain about that.
