Jeff threw in a Lemans start this weekend in the motard race. Old, fat guys don't run too good. He just did it to change things up, I think, but it was filmed and put on You Tube. I got out about 20th I think and managed to work myself up to 7th before the finish. Man, if they're going to do this stuff in 100 degree weather next year, I KNOW I'm too old. At least it was cool this weekend. By the time I got the little fart started, though, I was about out of breath!

Well I guess I'm taking the plung and doing something that I'll never get another chance to do again. I put a down payment on one the other day. Build date is Nov. 24. Got to see one up close last weekend at another dealer. The black with Orange is very nice. Sold my Ultra to a friend of mine who sold his 1800 Wing to buy it. He has had the biggest grin on his face every sense.

Got a pro pipe used off a 98 RK, nice shape new chrome cap just replaced and both racing and stock baffles, all heat shield etc $200 plus ground shipping

I went to the local H-D dealer to see abut getting a spare ignition key. Home Depot or other hardware stores in the area don't have the correct blanks to cut a new one.

So the H-D guy makes me show a picture ID and the registration to prove it's my bike. OK, that's OK. Might stop some dude from ripping off a bike.

After checking my VIN with H-D, it's determined that the key I've been using for almost 3 month "isn't the right one, according to our computer". F--k their computer. It fits, it works fine. How did he think I rode over their Sherlock, as he's staring at my bike out the window?

The genius tells me he can order the key for $36.00 (well that's for TWO - Harley "only makes them in pairs"), but he says he won't gaurantee that it will work. "Of course, I'll give you...

We raced at Katy this weekend, not one of my better performances. I packed up and drove home after my last race, didn't stick around for the endurance today. My friend, John Casley was sitting chatting with friends when out of nowhere a bullet hits his foot! Man, I'm glad it wasn't his head! I'm glad I wasn't standing in the way chattin' with him which often I am!

It didn't break any bones and he was planning to ride today. I'd offered to ride for him if I'd stayed. I teamed with him last season and we were third superbike, third overall on the season. This season, John's team is leading a tight chase for the championship in light weight and he was planning to be at the track today and ride and this is on his shifting foot.
