I have a 99 Softail custom and I can't seem to locate the engine oil drain plug. I've looked under the engine and I see no plug or screws under there anywhere. The only thing I see is where the chrome oil lines run up to the oil filter from the engine. Thanks in advance for any help you can give on the subject.

I have a custom built softail with a 98 Evo style setup. I have a 100 ci. Revtech engine, Custom Chrome wet Primary kit, Spykes Starter, & high amp glass mat battery, everything is new.......
My problem is that the starter does not stay engaged while starting, it seems that the solonoid is not holding the starter engaged. It disengages after the first revolution of the engine, then grinds. Sometimes it will grinds on initial engagement ......I have installed compression reliefs on the motor, to try to make it easier to turn, I have removed the primary cover and checked the depth of the gear engagement, it is going completely in but kicks out when under load.... The only way I can crank the engine is to jog the starter like I was using a kick start......

I met a lady rider from Wisconsin at bike week this year and she had a set of Roadking Classic saddle bags on her 2005 Deluxe and they looked awesome, much better than the stock Deluxe bags, but she couldn't remember where she purchased the mounting brackets for them. She thought they might have come from J&P Cycles, but I checked there and they didn't know what I was talking about. Has anyone heard or seen anything like that for a Deluxe?
