Okay things have changed since this original post.
I am installing S&S cams for a FLHPI Twin88 2003, the cam is S&S 570G Gear Drive Cam Kit & Performance Valve Springs. Should I also look at going to the 95" 1550 top end while the work is being done to replace the valve springs. What in addition to Cylinders/pistons & rings will I need to replace? Does it make since to do this now?
Any advise will be appreciated!

I'm about to rejet my CV on the 05 XL1200.
Anyone care to offer a starting point for sizing the main jet, maybe start with a 175/180?
(I put on the SE slip ons and SE sucker, and it runs great, just a little too rich as evidenced by the popping I get on the down shift)
I have the actual Dynojet Thunderslide kit, but can't really understand how replacing metal with plastic can be any good...
Lookin' to just replace the jets and press on....any help or comments appreciated, as always...

Think about it:
On Wednesday of next week,
at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00
in the morning,
the time and date will be
</B>
01:02:03 04/05/06.
That won't ever happen again!

I've been trying to remove the rear axle from my '03 fatboy but it's stuck in a bad way. I've totally removed the nut and all the adjusters and it doesn't budge when tapped from the back end. I've also gone through a couple cans of penetrating oil and a ton of hammering and tapping to no avail (yes, unfortunately this includes the use of a 6 lb sledge). Last attempt I made was to heat and cool the spacers with a propane torch, heat again, tap...no progress. Has anybody experienced this problem and come up with a good solution? I hear that the MoCo fails to put anti-seize on these in most cases and am fairly certain that corrosion is contributing to the problem. Thanks for the help.

My bike is a few months old with 2500 miles on it. Since it was new, there has always been a noise that kind of sounds like a high pitched whine or whistle in fourth gear. It is much more pronounced (louder) at the higher RPM's (3000 and above), and only in fourth gear. I can always tell when it's in fourth gear.
The dealer told me it's "within spec" and will cause no damage to the transmission nor will it effect performance. I told him it's not normal if all the other gears don't have the noise and fourth does. They claim it's about tolerances and it's within the tolerance H-D deems acceptable.
Any thoughts here on what's causing it and is there a reasonable solution. It's not a killer, but sure annoy's the heck of me. Should they be responsible for a fix or do I just live...
