Hey guys can you help me narrow down what might be wrong??

82 Iron Head Sporty is back firing and raising hell. I've been thru the carb it's getting plenty of gas and no not flooding. I adjusted the push rods. I have 115 psi front and 125 rear. New plugs, new wires, routed correctly.

I was going down the road and had pulled up next to a Pete with straight pipes for a listen when she just went to crap. She'll idle OK, but any throttle at all and the banging commences.

I have a stock EVO on a '99 FLSTC. Recently,, at about 13,000 miles,, after never having any problem with my starting system (other than a new battery a couple of years ago),,, my starter began to spin instead of engaging. After learning that this was a symptom of a faulty starter clutch,,,, I removed the primary,, the jackshaft bolt, and then the starter. The jackshaft assembly was never removed from the case. I had my neighborhood alt/starter shop go thru the starter and repair the starter clutch. I re-assembled all on the bike,, making sure the jackshaft bolt washer was properly inset in the keyway groove. Everything worked fine for a couple of weeks of starting and riding daily. Then,, one morning when pushing the starter button,, there was a loud clanking noise in the primary side ....

HI just a question I have a 79 sportster with a 1000 ironhead. I havet had a chance to ride it much yet with the weather still being cold. but I was told the big problem with ironheads is that thay heat up bad in the hot summer months. So someone sugjested an oil cooler. and so far Ive heard they are great, and also Im just waisting my money getting a cooler and taking a chance of burning up my motor running one. what do you all think and also what type of oil should I run in this bike.

Does anybody know the hp., on stock 12oocc Harleys? Also, what typical gains are with exhaust and carburator,air filter modifications. Besides these questions, does a fuel injection upgrade for the 12oo exist?

does v+h have slash cut staggered pipes for a 05 sportster custom with forward controls?
