Earnestine is on life support!!! Earnestine is a 1989 Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Her "shifter arm" is being replaced. The shifter arm penitrates the tranny case through what the HD service manual calls a "Sleeve". The new shifter arm has a machined surface and the tolarance with the old sleeve is pretty sloppy. Is the new sleeve replaceable, the service manual makes no reference to its replacement in the tranny case. It is pressed in, if it needs to be replaced how should it be done (without destroying tranny case and without removing case)? Maybe this is suppose to be a sloppy fit, I'm suspicious cause the new arm has a machined surface. Lessons learned, keep linkage fasteners tight or suffer this misery!!!

I am curious as to the use of oil filters other than Harley or Honda or whomever. I have a cross reference list of different well known auto oil filter makers. Is there any reason not to use these filters, i.e. is there something unique to Harley? Some are even a little larger, adding a 1/2qt. to the capacity.
I did a search and nothing came up on this topic, so hope this isn't old news again. Thanks

I put forward controls on my ironhead and want to take the existing foot pegs off. On the shifting side there is a large bolt that comes out of the outer primary cover. I was wondering what others have done to cover, cut, remove ... this bolt.
Thanks

I have the below listed seat for sale, I used it one season for about 5000 miles. It still looks like new, it is the most comfortable seat I have ever had on a motorcycle. I had it on my 03 sportster and it will not fit my 06. I want to sell this one so I can get one for my 06. This seat sold new for $379.00, I will sell it for $275.00 or best offer.

I am having a PM wide tire kit installed on my 2004 Fatboy. I am looking for a solo saddle that will fit the kit and will look great on the bike. Can some one point me it the right direction? Thanks Burro
