Could a person build a set of "cross dresser" pipes from a set of stock FLT pipes by eliminating the rear to front pipe cross pipe and using the existing rear head pipe. And would it help to size up the rear head pipe to 2" for better flow with the sharper turn? This would be easy for me to do with the new exhaust pipe kits now on the market. Thanks for you suggestions. John

I need a little help with a super high idle. Recently purchased bike, 98 ultra classic, 80ci, EFI, 15,000. I have put about 1500 miles on it since I purchased it. It ran great. Today coming in to work the idle stayed around 2800 when I came to a stop. Another 10 miles I stopped again and it only dropped to 1500. It ran smooth at highway speeds. No popping etc. One note is that the temp this morning is around 30 F. Shore could use some help quick. I plan to ride to Florida this afternoon.

I have a 2003 Harley FatBoy and want to put 12" apes on it. What length of clutch, brake, throttle assy cables do I need to get....also, do I need to extend or get new wiring for the blinkers, ignition start, etc? Any help would be appreciated! I'm new to this, so potato head language will not be regarded as being rude!

What stands out to me is the age group data comparitive from 1994 to 2004 and the CC displacement data. In 1994, the over 40 group was lower than the middle age which was lower than the youngest. However, the old farts caught up with the kids in fatalities in 1994. Displacement, middle weights to 1000cc (larger number of sport bikes) was the highest in 1994 by a good margin. But, in 2004, the over 1000cc category caught up. This tells me what many of us have suspected, there are lots of older riders buying cruisers for the first time and getting creamed due to lack of skills. There are the Hayabusas, ZX12Rs, and lots of sport tourers and touring metrics over 1000cc, of course, but the age data follows the...
