G`day everyone,I am having a massive argument with the guys at work about Harleys at the moment. After watching an episode of American Chopper I was telling the boys at work about the harley. They tell me as soon as a Harley is modified in any way ie rake changed on front end it is no longer a Harley but it is a chopper. What do you guys reckon,I still think it is as they still use H/D motors and various other H/D bits and pieces.
But the guys think not.
PS I dont know if I posted this in the wrong spot if so just move to correct spot.Cheers

Help, I'm getting confused over some terms here. As a result of putting on new pipes (unbaffled at this time...on order), with an already jetted carb and free flowing filter from a previous exhaust system, I'm getting the typical popping upon decelerating and downshifting as predicted, but when I upshift through the gears and pull in the clutch grip, you should here the big explosive BANG!!! One Bang, per clutch pull. Is this backfire or what? I guess I'm concerned though, more about the fix rather than what its called. But what the heck is this?

I have a 2000 Hugger that has been upgraded to a 1200, so much work/money and so dissapointing! After the 1200 kit was installed problems developed, resulting in changing heads and everything to 1200. I had a kuryakyn hypercharger installed = nothing but oil on all of my chrome and clothes! This problem has been on going now for four years! Is there any help? I have tried bypass lines (rubber hoses), then metal line over the top (that clogged), rubber hose going along swingarm to rear spokes on my wheel! Help! Some of the best in Ohio have failed to find answers....

A buddy of mine has a Revtech "Scorpion" rear wheel on his evo softail. He recently bought a chrome cover for the belt sprocket, and when the mech removed the sprocket to install the cover, he noticed that the hub doesn't seem to have the "lip" the sprocket fits onto. It has the bolt holes for the stock bolts, so it's attached pretty firmly, but we're wondering if this is safe, or even normal.
Is this standard with Revtech wheels or did the guy who installed the wheel do something strange?
Is it safe to ride in this condition?
OFF TOPIC: the service manual says "belt sprocket" but everyone I know says "pulley". Any difference?

Was it grade school before innocence was lost?
Was it High School when everything was within reach and you were golden?
Was it during college when you discovered yourself?
Was it during a time in the service?
Was it when you were young and had the world by the huevos (or at least you thought you did)?
Was it when you had your mid-life crisis?
Was it after the kids left, and life slowed down a little?
Was it when the children were married and gave you grand-kids?
For me at least, there were several times I can point to and say that these were just a few of the good times. Racing MX for several years in different countries and states. Riding across the top of New Mexico watching the sun change on the mesa's and smelling the rain in the air from distant thunderstorms. Riding across Wyoming...
