If you read or are familiar with my thread (hurt my road king) here is a new development. Put an Arlen Ness mechanical oil pressure gauge on about a month ago, oil press would peg gauge cold start above idle with 20/50 oil , hot at idle scared me low, gauge twitched at 0/5 at slow/ass idle hot. would come up quick to 35/40 cruising. Sunday after 60 miles got gas, took of looked down and H/S really low, zip/nada at idle 15/20 floating around at best 2000 or so rpm. engine sounded ok, started heading for the ranch 4/5 miles looked again and SHAZAM 45/50 at cruising and now 10/15 at idle better than ever. thinking the relief valve might have some issues with the coating from the piston skirts. old school v/8 high performance rule of thumb was 10 psi per 1000 rpm with conventional...

Just got a flyer for my 40th High School Reunion...We have one every ten years...Should be interesting...Went to the 30th and did not recognize a few and a few were gone...Now about 15% us are gone due to drinking, drugs, suicide, normal death and the unknown which seems pretty high to me...However, I'm not surprised at few that are gone as they had what I will call high risk behavior and some I never would have expected...
Can't believe that it has been 40 years...Makes ya think...

Kinda one of our big bike events jumping off tonight here in Indy....the circle is gonna be jammed with thousands of the coolest bikes America has to offer. Last-night the wife and I were parked down there and a pair of the new BMW RRs backed-in next to us...one glance made me realize just how unimpressive my ZX1400 really is...glad I wasn't on it - was on my RK, or I'd felt like I needed to change locations! Those bikes are wicked! I mean, the ZX is equipped with a 25 pound turbo, but if you know super-bikes you know that output is only PART of the equation, and BMW sure produced a beast of a bike with that double-R, and I'm impressed! Wish I wasn't fifty years old, or I'd have me one of those! Anyway, come on down...I'll be on a white/pewter Heritage in solo attire (Have to leave the...
