Tuesday a group of us Vets from all branches of the service escorted the traveling American flag on our Harley's. It started back east and will travel to all 48 states. We escorted the flag from Portland to Kennewick WA and from there it travels into Montana. At each point the flag is passed on to the next group in a small ceremony. This was my second time being honored to help in this flag run. I wish that all people in our great country realized what our flag represents to us all and the sacrifices so many have made.
We all had a really great time and meant many new friends. There is something about veterans and what many do.

I have decided that it is time that I enter the world of EFI. I have decided that I will convert my 2001 FLTR. I have a pretty good handle on what parts I am going to need and already have someone ready to sell the parts that I need, well, most of them anyway.

Cracks me up reading some of the non-Harley posts. Folks who compare things like the Yamaha Bolt to a Sporty and argue the performance differences, and crap like that. First of all, anyone who ever bought a Street Harley for speed bought a Harley for entirely the wrong reason...you want speed, go buy a Kaw ZX 1400R, want agility, go buy a ZX600, want a mix of the two, go buy an R1 or a ZX10. You think with as big as Harley is and how long they've survived they can't build a Hyper-bike?...they obviously have the resources to build an immense monster of a hyper-bike, if they so chose to. It's not what this MOCO is interested in. They cared only enough to satisfy a few with something like the VROD. You buy a Harley when you want class, road-comfort, nostalgia, heritage. I could have...

This Heritage has lots of chrome and add-on extras, almost ALL is Harley Davidson catalog purchases. Has a stage one running Python true duals with performance cores and converter removed and properly mapped...sounds awesome, without being crazy loud, and no off-idle popping/lean condition..runs very cool. Has a matching used tour-pak I just purchased. Has 14 inch mini's/mid apes, and a bunch of small chrome add-ons most folks overlook, such as the rear axle-nut covers (over 200.00) tank-ear-mount chrome covers, all diamond-back chrome-braided cables (Very expensive) quick-detach magnetic dock-covers when the tour-pak and/or sissy bar is off, and the list goes on and on. Bike is pearl white and pearl pewter/silver...everyone loves the color, and especially when the sun hits it and...
