Hello I am new to this sight thanks in advance. I have a 2003 carb FatBoy. I am going with a 95 big bore kit, SE Heads, 10-1 flat top pistons, Muk. 42 carb, SE air filter, ign mod. The $64000 question is what is the best cam for everyday driving? I am not a big fan of redlinning the motor. I want a good set up that won't run down the life of my motor, but one that I will get the most bang for what I am doing. I am open to chain or gear. It seems like I ask 10 diff. people and get 10 diff answers. Any help to stop the confusion would be great!!!

I have an 03 VTX 1800C. I'm not too impressed with the power or the mileage. I live at 4500 feet above sea level and just ordered the Vance and Hines Big Shots, Power commander and a Hypercharger air cleaner. Anyone done the same and what kind of difference did it make. I just want it to run like an 1800 should.

Wow,
As much as I like my HD dealer. They kill me. Kerker 2 into1 and ness sucker (thanks DP), No map from HD. You need a race tuner. OK That is another 500 bucks installed! Seriously who makes this kind of money to spend. I love my bike, but how can i justify this? They wouldn't sell me a carb'd bike.
What do i do? Run lean, Race tuner, or let my bike sit?

Hello
Can Anyone help me with a electrical problem I am having with my 1988 Softail Springer. The problem I am having is when I switch the ignition switch to ignition and start the bike everything is good. As soon as I turn the switch to lights the bike dies. I then have to turn the switch to off, wait a second for the breaker to reset and then start all over starting the bike again. After about 2 or 3 tries it will stay running. I have checked all the wires for bare spots on the lights, took it to the shop, they couldnt find anything. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem, that could give me some ideas to look for. Also this dosent happen all the time but when it does it it is consistant seems like all day long, then it will go away for a week or so.
