This is probably an ill-informed question, for I am still leaning about horsepower, torque, CAMS, etc.
With an EV46 CAM and a bunch of other upgrades, the ’99 Fat Boy is putting out 80 horses @ 5,500 RPM. However, my riding style is such that I am not ever at the range of RPM. At about 3,000 – 3,200 RPM, I am cursing between 90 and 100 MPH. This is plenty for me and I will probably never exceed it. So, here is the question: How can I “move” to 80 horses from the 5,500 RPM level to the 3,000 level? Is it as simple as changing the CAM to an EV27, for example, or is it more involved than that?
Thank you in advance,

CD/Sam,
Sorry I did not get a chance to talk with you today. Sam thanks for the call back, I selfishly took off for a ride. I hope the new web site kicks off with no problems.
I took delivery of my custom ordered 2005 Bigdog Chopper. Unfortunately, My 2002 Harley Bagger exhaust rocks compared to my stock BD Chopper, even with the awesome 117. I have to give a big thank you to you guys for helping me decide on the "right" pipes for my bagger. Hooker true duals are the way to go for an EFI Bagger!
I request your technical assistance again. My chopper has the Baker 6 speed right side drive. The stock exhaust is from Super trapp. The bike runs fine, but is too quiet!
I am looking for options and ideas to IMPROVE the sound.
Can I replace the baffles?
what aftermarket pipes will...

I have a buddy that has a 1999 Honda Valkyre.....most of the parts have been changed to Cobra. I am wondering, with the Cobra 6 into 6 drag pipes, is the baffles removeable in each of the 6 pipes or is it per side? can he change the "tone" of the bike in incriments by taking baffles out of 1 or 2 pipes on each side? He just doesn't want to run afoul of the german/European police..... I have told him not to worry about it as he has US tags, but he still has concerns. Any info on this is appriciated!! Thanks!

Hey Guys I am recently re-introduced to motorcycles and although I have ridden alot not the 100cu Vtwin that I recently purchased I have a few questions.
The starter sounds as if it is stripping when I start the bike, If I put the bike in and then back out of gear she starts right Up. Should I be starting this Bike fully choked or not and what are the blue plugs near the spark plugs that move up and down. Sorry to be such a novice.
Also I need to put in a speedo and turn signals can anyone suggest a complete kit and where I might buy. I am a computer guy and electrical work and light fab work does not freighten me unless somebody who has done this before suggests otherwise
