Hello,
I have a new 04 FLHTI that is all stock except for Bub/Rinehart true duals, Screamin Eagle intake kit, and the Power Commander III USB. I was wondering which map I should use. What is the difference between the "Stock ECU" maps and the "Stage 1 ECU" maps?
Does the Stage 1 ECU mean that the HD dealership "reflashed" the stock ECU? Since I just put these items on myself and hasn't been to the dealership, would I use the M807-143 map or another.
One more question..........I notice that there are different maps for the 2005 models. Did something change where the 04 and 05 would need different maps.
I'm not looking for 100% optimization, but just want it to run well and have good response throughout the RPM range.
Thank you

Alright guys, got an injected o4 Heritage, got Vance and Hines Bigshots on the way(from Direct Parts Inc.) Due for arrival tomorrow, thanks for the speedy service! Anyway, debating on whether or not to take baffles out, really want the volume, but don't want to kill performance(will be installing SE breather kit, also) Have a couple friends one has 750 shadow and another who has the Yamaha Road Star, both have long shots(no baffles) and the actually helped their perfomance, and i like the sound.I've talked to local H-D dealer they say leave them in,as did Vance and Hines! Will it kill torque that bad to take them out?Really want the volume, them rice burners making me sound BAD!

I bought a new Ultra Classic this fall and the service man from the dealer told me that they could not tune thunderheader pipes to run on the new fuel injected twin cam motors. Is this true or has anybody tried with success?

I recently installed the Samson Street sweepers made for the V-Rod. My V-Rod is a 2002 model. I changed to a high flow air filter and took the bike to harley to upgrade the ECM to the stage 1. The tech told me that the bike would still miss some due to the download is for the screaming eagle slip ons made by Harley. I test rode the bike after the ECM upgrade and it runs like ****! I called the tech and he said if I put baffles in it, it may help some. I then called Samson due to their installation instruction have in them if your going to install baffles, when to do it. Samson told me they have generic instructions and that they do not have any baffles for the street sweepers.
Do you have any suggestions on what to due to make it run better with the new pipes? The harley tech...
