Years ago I had a 1990 FXRS sp. Loved that bike and put a pile of miles on it. I had to sell it, needed the money for mortgage payments etc. I found this one a couple of months ago, it's an 85 so when the snow clears I'll find out whether I remember the FXR's thru rose coloured glasses or were they really that good. I think it's the latter..sure hope so anyway. The old stuff is a lot simpler though. come on spring.

I did not plan to spend money on this bike but a neighbor had these bags for $300 and I know the skirts cost that much alone so I bought em. But now I'm not sure I like em. The wife and other neighbor like them alot, but I'm not so sure.
What ya all think?

I have to get hardware for em so their on without the rubber bushings underneath.
Where do you think I should go to get hardware?

We had a few earthquakes here in Southern California this evening. Nothing catastrophic but about 10 miles south there are reports of a water main break and minor damage (mostly nerves). Good reminder to update our emergency supplies.

A couple of 3.6 and a 5.1 magnitude quakes.

Time to dump the original rear shocks. Ordered a pair of shocks for my Fatboy. Found the Progressive 422 Chrome on EBay for a good price with free shipping. They are coming from minniesoda!
