I'm facing knee surgery. On Memorial Weekend I f'd over my left knee simply by going down some stairs. The least of the damage is a torn miniscus. The bad news is the cyst in between the joint. It's almost one inch around and is the cushioning cartilage of the knee. It has to come out. To replace it they micro fracture (drill) into the ball many times so that the bone develops scar cartilage to replace the natural stuff. 4-6 weeks no weight on leg. 4-6 months recovery. Plus, knee will never be without issues.
Times like this I dwell on Danny and his trials. Makes mine seem minimal.

After giving up the jockey shift idea, I realized I needed to get a few new parts for the ol' scoot. My shift linkage is old and worn out, like me, I guess LOL.
New parts on order are: at the transmission I'm replacing the shift drum cover with shifter arm and 13 1/2" rod. On the forward control I'm replacing the inner shifter/shaft with a splined one, and a splined lever. I'm hoping these parts will take up some of the slack in the linkage, plus they will look good, too. Next week, I'm getting a new rear tire.
My front tire was replaced a couple of weeks ago and I decided then to not put beads or Ride-On in the tires. Just running 'em both normally with weights on the rims.

Does anyone know what the proper jet sizing would be for a S&S "SUPER E" carb on a 2000 HD Sportster XL1200C be??? I have been on the phone with S&S and another parts tech and have even watched a few videos about rejetting. I have a intermediate"pilot" jet of .028" and the main jet of .066" and the main jet "air-bleed" jet of .046". My bike is running too lean and I just want to try to save myself a few bucks and not have to get it put on a dyno, plus parts and labor. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:gah:
