Howdy Folks,
I'm looking for a small single cylinder motorcycle that needs work, the ideal would be a euro bike from the 60 or 70s. I'd like a 125 to 500 cc machine with a sound frame, engine work is ok and cosmetics are unimportant. The bike will be used as a test for some engine mods I'm Planning, over head valves preferred.
Contact me if you spot something like this or have any suggestions for a small ride that someone really wants to get rid of cheep.

Thanks for your help in advance

...just wondering if anyone has info on bringing a new Harley into Australia...buy in America from a regular dealer and ship it out to Oz. Will it pass Australian emission regulations in US form? Can you get a compliance plate without too much drama?

Reading about Abby's/Hot01's cross-country ride (and sharing a brief time with her here during the oil change) inspired me to re-read the book "Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert Pirsig. If you have not read it, it is a great book for anyone that rides - or anyone else, for that matter (though they will likely want to ride if they have the salt). If you aren't hooked after the first chapter, I'd be surprised. It is available in libraries and bookstores everywhere. Check it out, especially if circumstances (weather, medical, divorce takes your ride, etc) keep you away from the saddle.
If you are new and not familiar with Hot01's journey, check out her posts here and her blog (linked from her posts here).
And for Abby: no, I am not insinuating you are now or have...
