I recently bought a Screamin Eagle Active exhaust part# 65467-05 for my 2006 Road King police bike. A H/D m/c mechanic told me to scrap the electrics and the servo and just run the mufflers after having the ECM flashed. I am running the SE air cleaner but no other mods to my bike. Any feed back? I am hoping for a little better sound than the stock pipes and maybe some more grunt.

Ok, so I've started the process of removing that stupid visor from my 97 Dyna headlight. Ive relocated the turn signals with the stock Harley kit, got a New set of drag bars & Ive been reading on line about a cover that you can buy that covers the area in front of the upper tree & tidys up all the wiring & crap that Harley stuffed in there, its even supposed to bolt right up using the same bolts from your visor. So I go to my local Harley dealer & wouldnt you know it...They've never heard of such an animal. My next search is on E-bay....Plenty of lower tree covers, but no upper. So now I'm gonna check with the people who would probably know or want one of these things....If any of you guys out there have heard of this cover can you send me a link or a name or part number to this thing......

Just wanted to pass on what a significant improvement I've got from the stock, California-emmissions choked base I started with to the mildly modded TC88 it is today.
As a disclaimer - though the info I am (slowly) typing is true, I am on painkillers and Glenmorangie single malt, so .... uh, forgot the point.
But anyway:
Dyno run conditions(final run):
86.29F 25.64in-Hg, Humidity 9%, 4498ft Alt
Started with
40MM CV H-D/Keihin carb with Dynojet/thunderslide (tuned for sea-level)
H-D Teadrop/K&N Air Cleaner
CA Emmisions crap (more than I knew was there until I ripped it out)
SE Slash cut slip-ons on stock dual pipes
Autotensioned cam chain
- the #'s
- Max HP = 62.8
- Max Torque = 69.6
The changes:
.510 S&S Gear drive cam (with the gear drive, too - duh!)...

would it be correct to say thata bike should never pop and fart. mine does it when i down shift going down hill (cold or hot). i'm thinking i may need to correct my speed before down shifting (i know i need a tech). other than that i get a nice gentle rumble, and he runs great. i've checked my exhaust; no leaks. plugs look good, i've added fuel which which he always responds to except the down hill thing.anything else i should be looking at? has nearly 17'000 mis. i'm thinking about replacing the exhaust gaskets with those s.e's just to be sure
icked:
