Ok, so, most of you have figured out that my rear wheel is now off the bike.....won't be working on it until monday....the shop manual talks about loosening the 2 pins for the brake pads, but don't pull them out. The guy at the HD shop told me to go ahead and pull them out...not a problem.....so, what do YOU guys think?? Also, was looking closely at those "pins"....what in the HE!! are those things??!! not phillips, not torques bit, and didn't fit metric or standard....... what size are they and WHAT are they?? only thing I thought of (and I don't know if they even exits) would be a torques socket where the teeth are on the bolt head??!! Also, any other tricks of the trade for replacing the brakes (front and back, tho front are NOT off the bike, only the rear)...... Have service...

I've got an 03 SuperGlide that is a California Bike. I have a Pro Pipe on it and will soon be putting an Arlen Ness Big Sucker on. I figure that I will need to rejet the stock carb but all the kits that I've seen say not for California bikes. What's the difference? What am I getting myself into...
I am not from California and will not be riding, there. I am in the military and am stationed oversea at the moment. I will be returning to Texas in the not so distant future, but want to complete the stage 1 on my bike.:biker:

So, am trying to take off the cone nut on an 04 Eglide standard.....have tried (but is too small) the 1 5/16 socket. One HD shop told me 1.5 inch, 2 others have mentioned 36mm....have now also tried 1 7/16....is just a squeek too big....based on my math, am thinking that the 36mm may be right.....as the 1 3/8 is 1.37xx inches, and the 1 7/16 is 1.143xx. THe 36mm is 1.41xxx ..anyone know what is right? service manual does not describe size. Thanks

So, had a bit of time off today..... called a guy down the street (our kids are in kindergarten together, and he and his wife ride). Asked if he was riding today! He said...yup..leaving in 45 minutes. I RUN out, hose off the bike....factory says it is black....I say the color is more "dirt brown"....wanted to prove the factory right! decided that it had been a few days since I had checked tire pressures...5 pounds low in front.....ok, so it was 35psi......could have run it, but I prefere 40..... REAR was down to 27. Juiced them both up to 40 and went for my ride. 150 miles later, pull into drive with buddy...we crack a cold one....shooting the **** you know how it goes....doing a walk around of both bikes (parked on my ski slope driveway) and notice my tire looking low......took a...
