I took my bike to the stealer for a cold start issue and 435.00 later I went on a 100 mile ride and it drove me crazy pinging. I called the professional stealer mechanic and they just couldn't explain why this bike would ping. The reciept showed the addition of a SE stage 1 breather kit and a carb rebuild.

Now how in the #### could this create a pingning issue and then they say that I must be hearing things because this bike will not ping due to the electronic module. I think that is bull. I have built hot rods for years and any gearhead knows that a ping is associated with ignition timing. My question is could the addition of a free flowing breather trick the module into advancing the timing this much? When I took it in it already had Rinehart true duals and a stock breather. Whats...

I wanna remove the stock mount for my plates and stick' em on a side mount.

anybody got info on this? Heck I do not even if ya know if ya can on em without being a nuisance to do....

I put a set of V&H longshots and put on a screaming eagle air cleaner set up.Had the local Harley shop reburn the chip. So far so good, this was in late November or early Dec. rode the bike several times since then no problems. Well about two weeks ago I started the bike up and let the oil circulate and the engine warm up since I hadn't rode it for about a week, well noticed the rear exhaust shield and muffler where it attaches to the header pipe turned blue. I cleaned the blue off and went for a ride this time didn't let it set and the rear pipe turned blue again. Anyone else having these problems with V&H pipes ? Or is it my bike needs the chip reburnt ? It is a FLSTCI fuel injected. Can't figure why all of a sudden it did this.

Thinking about getting the "Commander" for my 01 FXDL...has anyone got info on this skin? I have a Avon Venom up front.
