I have a 2001 Dyna Wide Glide and when I go to start it it will turn the engine a couple times then disengage. It takes several times to get it to start, more when it is warmed-up. I put a new starter cluch and battery in a few weeks ago. I have not pulled it apart yet maybe something came loose or since the clutch went maybe something else is going out any ideas? Thanx,

I finally got my engine back into the Road King. After I but on an easy 500 miles on it I brought it back to my engine rebuilder to do the dyno tuning work. This was something I have been dying to watch. I have always had my doubts about how effective an inertia dyno can be for a complete map adjustment.
My doubts where confirmed. I watched as they made about 6 WOT runs from 2000 rpm to 5500 rpm. They produced some pretty power and torque curves, but the only changes they did between each run was download 6 different pre-made curves from the Power Commander map list. They picked the best one and called it good. I never saw their AFR meter go below 22. I new it was going to be up to me to get the bike to run right and I was going to have to do it with out an AFR meter.

I have a 1985 fxrs and I always thought my brakes worked great until I rode my buddies new bike with twin calipers and rotors, I about did an endo when I stopped. I do not have the mounting holes on my forks for a caliper on the other side so another caliper and rotor is out. My question is what can I do to improve the brakes on this bike, I realize it is 21 years old and it will probably not stop like a new bike but could I switch to a 4 or possibly 6 piston caliper? would that make a big difference? Has anyone here done that? Would I have to get a larger master cylinder? Also is there any 4 piston calipers less than a couple hundred bucks? Does Harley put any 4 piston calipers on any bikes that maybe someone would put a chrome one on and take off the black one so I could possibly...

My brother has a 2000 Road King and has installed what he says are 4" horizontal dual exhaust pipes. They have the standard diameter pipes but the heat shields are huge and about 1 inch away from the pipe. They have a great sound and add plenty of punch to the stock 88 twin cam motor. I have searched everywhere for these pipes but have not found them yet. I don't know who he bought them from or who made them and he doesn't know either. I want a set for my 03 Dyna Wide Glide. Please help.

Hey Now,
Cyber Dave I have a question. Could you show us the specs(h.p.,torque) for the new 96 c.i. engines? It's my understanding the touring and others have different numbers. I would like to look at the sheets and compare the stock numbers. Thank you, Knucklehead
