Just installed a PCIII on my 03 RK with V&H slip-on's and SE air filter. My gas mileage went from 45 to 35mpg. I downloaded Dynojet's map for my bike configuration. I expected to see some drop in mpg but a 20+% change seems high. Could I have done something wrong?? :

Being an ex motorcycle policeman (1993-1996 on a KZ1000P) I thought I was good rider and better than some. My problem was I never competed in a Police Motorcycle Skills Rodeo. Holy crap....compared to the top riders (there were 99) I would have looked like a beginner. They needed judges for the competition held here at the Charleston Coliseum for the past three days. I had the opportunity to volunteer and it was great watching the fine motor skills of officers from Virginia, Florida, South Carolina, Louisiana, US Army, and I think Kentucky (hope I didn’t leave anyone out). The things these officers can do with the Hondas, BMWs and Harleys was amazing. Additionally there were four female officers that rode better than quite a few of the men. HI folks,
I need some help. I was adjusting my clutch. (maintenance - was working ok) This time I took all the slack out of the cable before loosening the nut and adjusting the little allen head clutch adjusting screw.

I used the allen wrench to back off the screw then screwed in back in till it was touching, did it a couple times to make sure my touch was right and worked the clutch lever a few times.

Now it feels like something has come loose inside and I can't seem to take the slack out of the cable and the clutch does not move like I know it should when I pull in the clutch lever.

Could the ball bearings in the clutch have come out of place because I put too much slack into the cable. Could the ramp on the other side have come out of place? Any help will be...

I recently purchased a second hand 2004 VRSCB from a guy in Montana. He's a good guy, and I believe what he says. He sent pics of the bike before shipment, and it's just like it came off the showroom. Well, it arrived here on the 6th of July, and it seems the tranny is making noise. I know the best thing is to take it to the nearest dealer, however, it's over 150 miles away. Should I trust the bike for the ride up? or should I trailer it? I'm not sure if the tranny is hurt, but don't want to kill it before something simple could be fixed. I'm not very good with a wrench for a job lilke this, so the dealer gets it. What would you do?
