I recently had Rinehart Tips installed on my 2006 Heritage Soft Tail Classic. Now my passenger footpeg will not go all the way down. I ordered the under seat mounts but they are too high. Has anyone experienced this problem and how did you correct it. I have been looking for an offset mount but have not been able to find one.

I took a day off yesterday to go tooling around the dirt bike dealers 'cause I am trying to get my oldest Grandson into MX...
. My knees were twiching and strangely painful all day...
At any rate, I was at the local Kwacker, Polaris, Triumph dealer and while waiting (more on that in a second), I took a good long look at the Triumph Rocket III. I had looked at in passing before but as I just stood and looked at, I realized just how freaking BIG this thing is! The radiator looks liike it was pulled from a Pinto or something, the engine is big enough to sit beside a Nissan 4 cylinder in comparison. This thing is just flat BIG. I just could not get past that radiator either. Now as I said, I was there to look at the Kwacker KX85. I stood looking at the MXer's making myself perfectly...

I recently put a V&H Pro Pipe HS on my 2006 Fat Boy, and I love it. Thanks CD! My pop liked the sound of it but not really the look. He prefers the stock duel pipe look of his 2001 Road King. And he prefers his exhaust tone to be deep, but fairly mild. No louder than my Pro Pipe.
Although he has a stock 88 setup (except for Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner, Original Screaming Eagle Slip-ons (not #2) and a Power Commander), we wondered if he would see any performance increase/decrease by just changing the brand of his slip-ons or by converting to a "true duel" setup. Someone even suggested that he close off the rear cylinder cross-over pipe with a freeze plug to "simulate" a true duel setup first, and see how the bike ran.
Anyone have any comments on these mods and what the...

I have been reading this forum for a while. Just got home from my longest ride. I have owned my Heritage Softail Classic for four years now. Last year in May, my fiancee and I visited my old service buddy near Baton Rouge, LA riding the Heritage (3K round trip the way we went). My buddy saw my bike and got the hots for a bike for himself. He had never really ridden a big bike before. He considered a metric that he could get cheap. I told him I would make fun of it. He went with us to Harley Davidson of Baton Rouge for us to get T-Shirts and he fell in love with with a 2005 Black Cherry Road King Classic. Two weeks later it was delivered to his house and he started to learn to ride it.

I am adding SE II slip on's to my 06 883c this weekend. Along with a rejet which will be done by a qualified wrench, can any recommend a new (not to expensive) air box. Might as well only rejet once.
