I just found this photo I forgot about. This was taken in 1981. I was adjusting my chain on my '81 Suzuki 1100. I walked away and my son got the correct wrench and was trying to turn the axle adjuster. He's now 34 and a Kawasaki/Victory Tech.

A local guy would like to swap me his rocker covers and engine covers which are chrome, for mine, which are wrinkle grey. He wants to powdercoat them black, and I prefer the chrome. Mine are 04, his are 07. Do I need to remove the engine to remove these parts and how difficult would it be? It looks like the rear swingarm bolt goes through the rear of the trans. A solid days work to get it apart? Any tips?

This morning Hot Rider, my dad and I are riding to Ashland Wisconsin for a 3 day tour of that area. All in all we are looking about 1000 miles. Should be really weather.

Now this is what bikes equipped properly should have. I love it!
