I purchased a chrome Scorpion rim for my Harley Deuce from a local HD dealer. The rim has seen 1 1/2 summers of riding and already is pitting and peeling. To make matters worse, from the moment I had the rim installed I began noticing I was slowly losing air ...according to a Harley technician, ALL of the chrome rims leak! Evidently the chrome valve stems don't seal properly. I was told my only option would be to have a tube installed! Has anyone else experienced this problem? Seems to me that there is a design problem with the rims and HD should do something!!

How many miles can you expect to get out of an EVO engine?
Dealer i talked to said if you change the oil and do all the scheduled maintenance on time that you can get 100,000 miles out of an EVO.
Do you agree? or disagree? How many miles have some of you gotten out of them?
I only ask because i bought my first Harley ever (a used 1995) a few months ago and was wondering how long it will last?

Hi Forum, Would some know when Harley went from cork to rubber gaskets in the EVO Motors? I have a 1989 FXST w/ rubber rocker cover gaskets. The HD dealer in town says that this year should have cork. I don't beleive this engine has ever been tore down. Should I replace w/ cork or rubber? Is there a great difference? thanks, Bernie

Need some advice please. I am going to lower my 06 Road Glide. I don't see any problem with me replacing the rear shocks but when it comes to the front end I'm questioning my abilities. I have an 05 touring model service manual and it makes it sound pretty complicated but from the pictures of the 06 lowering springs it looks as if they've gone to springs, no cartridge, on both sides. Is lowering the 06 model fairly simple? I try to do as much of my own wrenching as possible but I do have my limits. Especially when it could have fatal results.
Thanks in advance, Spanky
