I just bought a 2003 RoadKing for the long road trips that we take out here in the desert, my other bike is a 2004 Fatboy. While in traffic the other day I noticed that the passenger footboards hit me right in the back of the calf on the RoadKing. To walk the bike while at a light is just down right aweful experience.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there any remedies out there-

I've had this strange rattling sound in the front of my engine for a couple weeks. Now that its cold here, I've definately determined that it is affected by oil temperature...as the noise is completely absent when the oil is cold and thick...but as I reach the end of my 16 mile (one way) commute to or from work, I can hear the rattle.

I thought I had isolated it to the oil filter...which had been replaced with an oil change a few weeks ago...but I just replaced the oil filter again the other day and the noise is still there...although it does seem diminished in volume...since I really have to listen for it now instead of the noise driving me nuts. Even though I put new lifters in with my gear drive cams last winter, I'm wondering if I don't have one going south on me.

So can...

I did a search but found no answers. I would like tp put a useful gauge in place of the air temp gauge. I wanted to install an oil temp gauge but the dealer said the sending unit attachs at the same point as the pressure gauge. So no dice as I want the pressure gauge. So is there another place to install a sending unit for an oil temp gauge (I know there is one to replace the dip stick, but don't want that) or is there a way to make the existing air temp gauge accurate, by relocating the sensor?? It is useless.
