Maddog, Loren (a longtime friend) and I went for a long ride today meeting at 9AM then crossing over two sections in the Cascade MTN range. Had lunch at a restaurant that over looks the lake.
We traveled to Sweet Home Oregon then across Foster dam and lake then up to Green Peter reservoir and then up Quartz creek. Quartz creek is a beautiful mountain stream in the national forest. Rode through there then into Detroit lake for some great Huckleberry ice cream. We then rode up rode that follows up to the summit by MT Jefferson and hen down the Clackamas river. Was a beautiful ride today and got back at 6:15 PM.
First two pictures were borrowed.

Local casino put on a little bike/car show to mark the end of summer. Had quite a few cars from around the provinces and some states and a few bikes show up. Danny "The Count" Koker and his partner in crime Kevin Mack showed up. Pretty good weather, pretty good show overall.
Seems to be a trend to put odd powerplants in different cars. A Pontiac Beaumont, I think only available in Canada. Note the Cummins powered hot rod and the Mercedes diesel powered rat rod towtruck. Nice sights and nice high octane smells.

I have been finally able to get out and test ride the new 2015 Road Glide. After much anticipation for this bike after the MoCo shut it down for a model year, I have to say that I have mixed feelings about what they have come up with.
Here are my thoughts of the new Road Glide. To begin, I will break down the styling. I have to give this bike an A+ in this category. I like how the front end looks like it has a mad scowl due to the angle change of the headlights paired with the two side vents. At first I did not like it all as I had said that I thought that it squared off the side view and didn't seem fit, however, after looking at the front end for a long time when I first looked at it, I grew quickly to appreciate the effort that HD did.
Next thing that I thought was an interesting...
