Hi all, I have eleven spokes on the backrim broken this makes twice on the pully side. I dont think I hit any thing. This is on a american wirewheel 16''-5'' I run a 180 tire. The bike was dinowed and put out 89.9 HP and 99.9 Tork. is this to much Tork for a 80 spoke rim. Should I go with a mag. I really like the spokes. And mags cost so much I dont have the cash to by the mag either. THanks for the input.

I own a 1985 HD FLHTC. It started making some strange sounds almost like loose tappets. I took it in to the guy that just rebuilt the motor and he said that it was in great shape and the noise I was hearing was driveline noise and not to worry. RIGHT! Well I took it for a 100 mile run and late into it what I thought was the clutch slipped and she reaved a couple of times. Thought I better get it home. Well 20 miles from home on a busy freeway I loss all drive and had to coast to the side of the road. Placed it in every gear and let out the clutch. No go. I mean nothing. no grinding no chatter and no grab at all? it never ran so quiet LOL. Clutch cable was fine. I pulled off the primary cover and looked at the clutch disks. They were a little warn but not bad enough to loose all drive. I...

Hi Bros,
I put SE slip ons, a SE air cleaner and a download at my HD dealer service department on my 06 Ultra. Sure does run and sound good. Im having a small problem, it backfires through the air filter "sometimes" when taking off or starting to put a load on the motor when getting on it. Any ideas or suggestions before I call my friendly HD dealer and get the run around? It dont seem to effect engine performance it just dont seem right to be doing that.

Occasionally when I hit the starter, the engine almost starts then backfires. Also once in awhile when I am riding and the bike is at full operating temp. I will be at a stop light and when I go to take off the bike will cut out and even stall on occasion. The bike has Vance Hines slip-ons, air cleaner kit and Stage-one.
Does anyone have an Idea what would cause this intermitent problem.

I took my 03 Softail to the mountains and rode alot with some other bro's. I trailered it up there and back, when I got home, backed it out the trailer and cranked it up it sounds like a lifter is tapping, could this be a fouled plug?
