I was recently advised to replace the rear lace wheel on my Road King with a mag type wheel for safety purposes. There is no visual problem with the lace wheel I have. I asked around at some of the local shops and the HD dealer about using a Fatboy wheel on my Road King. I was told that the alignment was different and that it would not work. Being one that has to see for himself, I installed the wheel and tire and it all seemed to be fine. I put about four hundred miles on it without any problems. In the end I removed it because I could not get the alignment comment out of my mind. Can anyone out there shed more light on this? Could I use the fatboy wheel?

I have a '97 FXDWG (Dyda Wide Glide). According to the makers it is Not to be used w/ a Carlini torque arm. However I can not get a straight answer as to why. I currently have a Thunderheader on my bike and the Carlini arm. Everything fits perfectly but am having problems w/ snapping exhaust studs. I think by using the thinner exhaust gasket I can stop this problem. The other problem is that the pipe is starting to crack in several places.
When installing the pipe I am sure that there is not any binding, and it is installed w/ the thunderheader rubber mount. When revving the throttle everything torques at the same time. Can't figure this one out, and no help frome the manufacturer.
Anyone have the same problems or a solution?

Can anyone advise me on a replacement seat for a 2004 Harley Road King. After 50 miles of riding, I want to pull over and sell it. Extreme discomfort in the tailbone section. Will it be an upgrade to Harley, Mustang or Corbin?
Any feedback would be appreciated via email.
Thanks,
Lenny
