Hello, I have a question I am sure somebody here can answer! Our local HD shop has been (reportedly) telling people that if they do not do the service for their bikes they will not honor their warranty. I remember reading about a law the governs this type of activity, but I can't remember where. Would anyone know where I could find information on this. Would this fall under the same area as telling people, if you do not use our oil we will not honor your warranty?

I have a 05 softail deluxe that I want to change my stock lower forks form stock to chrome. I just got the new chrome forks in the mail and the dirction say I need a spring clamp. I have talked to a few people who say that this is not needed and that it is an easy job to do it my self and not pay the 200ish dollars to have a dealer do it. Has anyone done this job before and was it tuff?
P.S. im no master mechanic but I can hold my own =)
Any help would be great

Hey everyone. OK, OK so i never write anymore. I have been over my head both at work and at home for so long now. Looks like we will be doing the big move back to the good old US of A next summer. Goal is to be home for 4th of July 2006. heheheheh.
Bike is still running will just have to sale her off soon. (tears in my eyes).
AFNurse is leaving me soon and I will be here in old Germany almost all alone except for going to meet up with shopguy in August or so. Thank goodness for that.
Almost busted my boatocks the other day on the bike. Wet roads slippery as eel ****, then no profile on back tire, back tire breaking out on me ok use front brakes, ooops sliding, hmmm what do i do now. I lived through it so it was still a good day.
Well enough about me. I hope...

Check out my new 73' XLH
It has been completely rebuilt with all new parts from the ground up, nothing has been missed. Every single item that can be chrome IS chrome or has been chromed, even parts you cannot see.
I get to pick this baby up on friday night! I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself.
Here is a pic, it's kinda strange but I'll take some good one's once I get the bike home. In this pic the seat, oil tank etc are not on the bike.
