A friend of mine is having a problem with his transmission on his kicker. It is an aftermarket transmission and it appears that the studs were put in slightly forward from where they should be. I believe it is a Baker however, it is about 20 years old. It's installed on a 1955 Harley hardtail frame with a 1983 Shovel Head motor.
In the past he drilled out the holes on the kicker cover in order to move it back slightly so the kicker gear would mesh with the transmission. This has worked but ends up breaking parts after a while because the gears still do not mesh as much as they should. He now has a new kicker cover and gear. We don't mind drilling out the holes again because you can not see them once it is installed. However, we would like to get the cover back another 1/8" or...

My Electra Glide Standard FLHT enricher cable, plastic junk, crap, where it mounts to bracket at Knob breaks about every other year. If its not broken it wont stay where you set it. I was told that you can by after market replacment much better quaility. Where, I have searched every place I can think of. Stock carb has been recalabrated, runs nice with shot gun straight pipes and steel baffels. Happy with preformance, dont want to change carb. Any suggestions. JP

I'm getting ready to start doing performance mods to my 2003 FXDX and would like some opinions regarding the following:
Vance and Hines ProPipe HS 2-1 vs. Thunderheader 2-1 - has anyone used both and which provides the best street performance? On down the pike I am planning on going to a 95 kit when the funds allow and don't want to have to buy another set of pipes.
If I go with the VH pipes, should I use their carb kit or go with the HD SE kit?
Anyone got any beginning settings on the carb adjustments that have worked in this type of setup?
I have the stock air cleaner on the bike (it's a 2003 anniversay bike) and it has a 2003 anniversay air cleaner trim medallion that I would like to keep. Are there any mods I can do to the stock air cleaner in order to keep it, but not...

Just changed out bars and switch housings and need to take off the brake line and make a couple of bends. Can someone tell me what the proper tool is for the brake line bolt at the m/c (Dyna dual disc).
Thanks
