The quest for improving the performance of my 2004 Heritage Softail Classic FLSTCI led me from stock pipes and breather to a V&H Pro Pipe and Ness Big Sucker. I achieved about 10% increase in HP and TQ from this intitial mod.
AND NOW WHAT NEXT?
The choices to increase performance include conventional enhancements such as increasing the displacement to 95ci or more or changing cams. Or, changing the paradigm that 'bigger is better' to 'badder is better'. A few 'badder' changes might include TURBOCHARGING or NITROUS OXIDE enhancments. Whether these latter options are 'better-badder' or 'badder-badder' will be the course of this thread.
Turbocharging seems to be a rare thing on street bikes. I have seen only one turbo-rigged Harley. An internet search uncovered a few sources for...

For my 2005 FXSTI: I have Vance and Hines Straightshots installed. I have the Power Commander III purchased (on hand). I am waiting on the Arlen Ness Big Sucker Air Cleaner to arrive (any day now). My question is this: Does anyone know if the power commander is going to install and stay hidden beneath my LePera Bare Bones Solo Seat? I haven't tried to install the PC yet due to waiting on the AC to arrive, but this question has popped up and I'm curious.............I called the Dynojet 1-800 number to ask them. Their technical response was "Don't know, our product is intended to be used with a stock seat". Give me a break.........They are selling a product to change your bike from stock - to non-stock. I'm sure someone knows, but their lack of interest really p'd me off a little....

Sir, I had an upgrade last week for my anniversary Dyna Wide Glide, it is a twin cam engine with screamin' eagle II slip-fit mufflers, parts is:
42mm flatslide carburetor kit. (H.D#29641-99)
Screamin' Eagle 7000 RPM race ignition system for carbureted. (H.D#31713-01)
Screamin' Eagle plug wire kit. (H.D#31930-99)
Screamin' Eagle 204 cam kit. (H.D#25149-00)
Screamin' Eagle high compression forged piston kit. (H.D#22864-00)
Screamin' Eagle Perfect fit pushrod. (H.D#18400-03)
I was looking for a different performance than the stock runs. And I am not satisfied at the job they done to my Harley - the speed will stay on 155 kilometer and it will go no further - (what is gone wrong).. What horsepower and torque we are looking for? Your opinion highly appreciated in this matter

I'm looking to do a big bore kit for a twin cam Duece. I kind of want to stay with HD parts due to my 7 year warranty. I was looking at the HTCC heads, screaming eagle 211 cams and 10.5:1 compression. My dealer said I should go with the Mikuni 42mm carb and I wanted to get some thoughts on this as well as the overall combo. I have the Ness big sucker with the stock carb now, will the mikuni easy kit work with this or do I need to purchase another Big sucker? I'm looking for a fun, dependable ride with about 100hp/100lbft. Thanks for any input.
