I recently saw a 1999 Fatboy that appeared to have a 88 CI motor (it had a 5 hole derby cover). I am in question as to whether the 1999 Fatboy came with an 88CI. My recollection is that the 88CI was not available until the 2000 model year. Could it be a late 1999?????

I have an '01 Dyna FXD that only has a speedometer. I purchased a HD tach that came wit hte dual mounts and all the hardware. It actually looks pretty nice in the box. Now I need to install it or pay the dealer over $100 and be wothout my bike for a few days. Has anyone out there installed one of these from scratch? Is there going to be a bunch of splicing drilling and removing par parts? I'm pretty handy and have all the tools. I just don't fee like spending 3 hours on a sunny Saturday monkeying around wiht this to find out I have to take it t the stealer anyways. Think this will be easy or hard?

I'm new to the forum. I bought a 2004 sportster this summer. I didn't realize how much I've missed ridding, it's been about 15 years. I ordered vance and hines exhaust, vance and hines rejet kit and a hypercharger. I installed them myself. My one jet stock was 180 and the slow was 42. Right now I've got a 195 and 45 installed. It still does not have the take off power I feel it should. I dropped it off at the bike shop yesterday to see if they would have any luck hooking it up to the dyno. The mehanic told me that vance and hines pipes were too large and that I would lose bottom end torque. I haven't got my bike back yet but he said they probably can't get it to run right either. Has anyone else had this problem? What else can I do to it to help. Sorry so long.

can someone help me, i have a 04 low rider, inj. with the stage 1, hd air kit and hd pipes. i would like to idle it down from 900 r's, it still has the plug in the throtle body. i was told that idleing it down would cause oil pressure problems. is this so? also i have heard that this engine has cam bearing problems. is there a port or plug to get a pressure guage installed? thats all the questions for now. thanks in advance. mofasa
