Dutch thank you for your email. I was on the DC scale . Color me embarressed I guess that is why they call it an Alternator and not a Generator. I went home and looked in my book again and you are correct it says 16-20VAC @ 1000rpm. I have 16-17VAC @ 1000rpm. I reved the engine and it went as high as 60VAC! Again thanks you saved me unnecessary work and a kick in the butt. Also Kidd thanks as I put on a new regulator but no output yet so I was thinking that I would disconnect the positive and negative output leads on the regulator that go to the battery and check without it being connected to the terminals to rule out any possible shorts in electrical system. What do you think will this work and I assume I won't hurt the regulator after all it is just a bridge rectifier I assume and a...

Has anyone purchased and installed the "Optional muffler cartridge" for the Tuned Flow exhaust?
I copied this paragraph from the Web site "Optional muffler cartridge create a more mellow sound while increasing low end performance.
Straight tuning cores offer fine tuning of pipes without sound control by creating a 3rd step and changing primary length."
I am curious how they perform in a stage 1 bagger application. I have been playing with the adjustment going from max torque setting to half way in between max torque and max HP. I have reviewed a dyno run with this system in which they run a torque and HP evaluation between these two settings. It seems that this muffler produces quite a bit more torque and does not really lose any significant HP until you reach above 4500 RPMs....

I have an 04 E-Glide standard and have replaced the stock Shift pegs with Iron Cross/Flames and added Iron Cross/Maltese Cross front axle caps. I am looking to round out the bike by replacing the stock rubber brake pedal.....So far, I have found nothing like break pedal with iron cross/maltese cross. Does anyone know where I may look for something that has already been made/somplace that could assist me with designing/fabricating something?? ?? Couple of places I have checked with so far have given me NOTHING Input greatly appriciated! I can get pics of my shift pegs/axle caps for referance if needed! Thanks

I am wondering if there are any riders that are already in Germany (I know USAHallas is in Frankfurt). I am also wondering if any that are already here want to plan a day ride for end of Sept (25-26 ish Sept)? I am not ruling out those of you in the states, however, you guys already have rides scheduled and the cost of shipping your bike may be prohibitive..... I have a local guy that I ride with (speaks some english) that knows the roads really well around the Weinstrasse and and into France a bit...... Any takers? I would still have to get my own kitchen pass, and get my "guide" cleared (NEVER a problem ) Let me know if you would be interested!
