I just picked up a 40mm cv carb off of ebay. I;m going to put it on a 82 sportster I;m building for my son. I put 10 t0 1 pistons in the motor; R5 andrews exhaust cams;. elelbrock intake cams; single fire ignition. The carb came off a 93 softtail. Would the stock jets work in this motor??? And the voes crap do I really need to hook that up??? I had a 40mm bendix with adj main jet on it; never had any luck trying to tune one with that carb.

I have an opportunity to purchase a 66 XLCH. I know nothing about these bikes. I am looking for first hand experience comments on both the good traits and bad traits of these bikes. As of now, I have not seen the bike. I am being told about it from a like a brother friend. I trust what he is telling me by still would like first hand experience input about these bikes. Thanks.

y'all gonna be singin this all friggin day...

Tomorrow it's going to be 75-78 and were headed up to a ride that goes around the backside of Mount Saint Helens and stopping at this view point of the back side of the Volcano.

Finally got a little stretch of nice weather and went for a couple of rides yesterday - one to see my chiropractor . Bike is running fine and my new runway is a success. Woke up this morning and back was throbbing with pain. It's been like that every morning for three weeks now. Lots of Ibuprofen knocks the edge off. Doc says it's gonna be some time before this new injury heals.

But I'm going out again today for another ride or two, just not as far. Doc says to go for it.
