Our HOG chapter does a mid week ride every month and today we rode up the Clackamas River. Man the fall colors are starting to come out. Weather was 65 and rain came down the night before but still a beautiful day out yesterday for a nice ride. We stopped in Estacada on the way back for great food. A Blt on homemade sourdough bread that was fantastic and the bacon was thick cut, great lunch. We rode back through a town called Colton and then I finally turned right up ol Beavercreek Rd and worked my way back home. Fun day.

Just checking with youse guys on this. Last several hundred miles carb has started to cough sometimes when I first blip the throttle at idle. Does not cough at any other time. This happens when bike is warming up and also after it has been ridden for a while.
First inclination is to turn the mix screw out at 1/4 turn increments till it stops. If I remember, this coughing is an indication of carb running LEAN (slight gold color on pipes, but not blue). I tried turning the screw in a 1/4 turn and coughing got worse . . . I turned it out a half turn and it still coughs sometimes . . . should I keep turning it open? At present carb mix screw is turned out (opened) to about 2 1/2 turns from the closed position.

My new Sig P229 40 Cal. Was used by a police dept. then it was returned on a program back to Sig as many police agencies do. Sig goes completely through them updating all parts and replacing worn parts. They give it a new gun warranty then sell them to a LGS for resale. Pistol is in exceptional condition and extremely accurate. They are close to a 1911 style. There is no plastic except for the grips. All steel which makes for a perfect balance when shooting plus less recoil.
