I have a 2007 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic. The fuel gauge started reading full on my ride to work. The other gauges work fine. Does anyone know where I should start to resolve the problem?

It was 90 degrees all day yesterday, then in the evening heavy rain and heavy winds. Then lost power from 8:30 PM until 12:45pm the next day(16 hours). Got home after work (midnite) to a dark and humid house with no quick way to cool things off..geez. Can't sleep in that chit. Plus I am a creature of habit and am briefly out of sorts when out of my normal routine.
Some people still don't have there power now...24 hours...and counting. Luckily its not winter. Some are getting rooms in hotels.
I do have a switch panel and a 10,000 KW generac generator but hadn't quite got to the point..close..was getting dressed to pull it out of the barn when the power came on.
And its not even winter yet...

When a leak test is done, I am assuming that the cylinder needs to be at TDC?
What are some of the better testers available?
