SHERIFF EXAM
A young Texan grew up wanting to be a lawman.
He grew up big, 6' 2", strong as a longhorn, and fast as mustang. He could shoot a bottle cap tossed in the air at 40 paces.
When he finally came of age, he applied to where he had only dreamed of working: the West Texas Sheriff's Department.
After a series of tests and interviews, the Chief Deputy finally called him into his office for the young man's last interview.
The Chief Deputy said, "You're a big strong kid and you can really shoot.
So far your qualifications all look good, but we have, what you might call, an "Attitude Suitability Test", that you must take before you can be accepted.
We just don't let anyone carry our badge, son."
Then, sliding a service pistol and a box of ammo across the desk, the...

Cleaned off the VSS today, wasn't very dirty...Got one on order,I'll throw it in the tourpak if it's in Tuesday...
Then checked the plugs...this is what I would like some opinions on...They look pretty rich to me,front especially, looks like carbon, doesn't seem to be oily...rear plug looks to have too much timing, can't see a mark on front one...how much of a roll does the VSS play in idle mixture??Could it be sensors getting weak or does the Fuel Moto map need tweeking??

Borrowed this from somewhere else.
As most of you know the dyna switchback has a noticeable vibration around 2800 rpm's.. There is a harley bulletin out about it . Here is a link to that bulletin .. https://www.box.com/s/15d6d8edf75569ee6c4f . However the reviews have been minimal improvement .. After a lot of searching the internet and research , the problems seems to be in the exhaust setup .. Aftermarket exhaust seems to get rid of the vibrations . However at $500 to 1400 bucks , It is not an option for everyone .. Should this be a warranty issue .. YES . If you complain enough and take a copy of the service bulletin , you can get your dealership to address it but as I said the results were minimal in my research.
But don't give up yet . Here is what I have done and...

I'll be going to Nashville this morning. No, not the one in Tennessee, but in N.C. LOL. Still, it's a solid half day ride there and back. Tattoo is helping me repair my mower carb and I'm going to go pick up the parts. Any excure to ride, right? The carb's in bad shape and came that way with the used mower I bought last year. Next I must replace the dry rotted tires & muffler. Lots of maintenance between my bike, truck & mower.
.
Anyway, it gonna be sunny, in the 80s, and should be a fine day for a ride.
