Put the Super Meg on my '99 Road King to replace my similar Vance & Hines 2:1 that kept shaking the baffle loose to the point I'd either have to weld it on or replace it. To be fair to the V&H, I didn't do that install myself and I doubt the bolts were Lock-tited, but still, the dang thing burned brown & blue on the muffler too quick for my taste. It did have about 50K miles on it, too. Whatever, it is awaiting the junkyard trip.
So I put the Super Meg on myself (not that tough), and my only complaint so far was the heat shield does not fully cover the collector (where the pipes meet, for non-wrenchers) as evenly as it should. My own, inelegant (yet pleasing to me), solution was to cover the collector in exhaust tape. It actually serves two purposes - it hides the uneven match and...

I have soaked the carb in carb cleaner but can't get the pump to work, I replaced the pump but it does not pump fuel into the carb when the throttle is turned. Anybody have any tricks to clean the pump channels.

I have a 2001 Fatbot(FLSTF) stock. I just put Thunder header exhaust and I bought a Kuryakan Hypercharger Pro to put on. What kit would be best - or should I just change the jets and mixture screw and call that good? Would a Stage 1 kit work? Thanks for your suggestions.

I am riding a 2002 Harley Dyna with the 40mm CV carburator. About a two ago I added a K&N free flow air filter, RB Racing two into one exhaust and ss gear driven 510g cams. At the time I set up the carberator with CV Performance needle, emulsion tube and jets. I rejetted the carberator to a 46 pilot jet and a 185 main jet. After doing this work there was a noticable drop in MPG. Dropped from 45ish to around 40ish. But the bike has run very well.
I recently had to do some work with RB racing and bought an A/F ratio gauge kit from them. Now it appears that I am running somewhere around 12.7 throughout the trottle range. I was able to get the idle speed A/F to bounce down into the 13.2 range, but intermitently. I have found that while riding in the morning with temperature below 60F the...
