I did a stupid thing Thursday. I did a holeshot and was sort of half hearted about it. As a result, I went down. As far as my injuries: my elbow got banged up pretty good with a bit of skin missing and a couple of holes. My hip has a cell phone shaped bruise where my phone got crushed. My ego has a pretty good sized dent in it. And my head hurts from the old lady telling me how stupid I am.
The Fatboy: I snapped off a mirror, scraped up the front fender a bit, scraped up a pretty expensive air cleaner, dented the head light trim ring up pretty good and a couple of other minor scratches. I already fixed about half of it.
To top it off, a friend that was with me at the time works with me too so everyone at work can tell me how stupid I am too. DOH!:fight:
Live and learn I guess....

Hi all looking for some tips for exhaust on my bike. Running 04 HD , Classic 95 kit, screaming eagle heads, screaming eagle IGn Mod, 42 Mikuni Carb, 211 cams(Midrange), K&N freeflow air filter, Pingle petcock,V&H Propipe (2 into 1) can remove trunk change to badlander seat and low profile windscreen then can play a little. Hi 90's for both HP and Torque
the weld on the pipe baffles all 3 tacks broke retacked them but presume will happen again.
, thought of Python 3 but can only find slip on's and nothing on the performance of them or reinharts want loudness possibly true duals but no crossover

A while back I was telling everyone about the struggles I was having with vibration in my EVO. I’ve done a lot of work to it over the last few months trying to get a grip on what this is. After changing several parts such as fuel injectors, intake gaskets, fuel filter, engine temp sensor, intake air sensor, routing the oil breather to the ground, checking engine alignment and mounts, I wasn’t able to change a thing in the way it ran. I guess I chalk this up to process of elimination.
I finally came up with another experiment. Since I was also struggling with spark knock in the 70% throttle range I decided to attack the calibration in a different way. Instead of increasing fuel in those areas I decided to do some drastic spark reduction. I read somewhere that when you increase...

I want to put fully show-chromed upper and lower forks on my 02 FXST...I found a great deal on a new pair of new forks. I know that they are 41mm like mine, and that the the caliper mount is different but adaptable, but does anyone know if there are any more differences such as axle diameter or triple tree mounting?

I have a '98 Dyna. I bought it used from a local dealer in 2001, with about 9K miles on it. I have a 3.9 gallon gas tank and can get about 120 miles to the tank. I have just put a Stage 1 kit in it w/ a S&S Air Cleaner. I have white to tan color on my plugs, but the base of the electrode, threads, of both plugs are black and dry soot. The insides of my Slash-cut muffler pipes always get the same black soot at the ends. The manual says how to set the timing, but I have discovered that my timing is just about at the full advance position. The manual says running at too advanced can damage the motor. The bike seems to run fine on the road, except for the occasional backfire through the carb. No knocking, pinging. I thought rejetting would help. Any ideas?
