Hi there,
I have had a Yamaha Virago 920---1982 for some time. The starter on these is famous for clattering and needs to be shimmed now and then to keep it working. Just wondering if the post 1985 starters experienced the same problem, or if they solved it. Other than that I can't complain about the bike. Thanks for any input you folks may have to offer. Dan

I'm looking to put single fire electronic ignition on my 75 sportty,I've been checking out the Crane...Is it a good one to purchase,any feed back on this would be great....

my son has a gxr 750 a 96 model that once it stops after riding it wont start up again for about 45 mins. or more. it has been tuned up with new plugs and a new starter to try to solve the problem, but it still exists. anybody have a clue whats going on. so far the dealer has not solved the problem.

I guess this question was lost over in the welcome mat thread so I'll try it here.... I need sage advice from those of you in the know....or if you stayed at the Holiday Inn last night.
Looking at 2 different Wideglides this weekend for probable purchase of one or the other. 1st is an 02 with less than 2000 miles, screaming eagle pipes, other small upgrades. Bike has sat quite a bit stored in the garage, hence the low miles. 2nd is an 04, with approx. 4500 miles, 2 into 1 exhaust, fuel injected, and other small upgrades. Asking price for both is nearly identical, both look very good in pics but haven't seen or heard in the flesh yet. Any particular reason to lean towards one or the other based on the model year or any other
"things" I am not aware of. Both bikes look very worthy....

Whatcha think? Dealer won't help. If the connnectors are the same may I assume it will work? My 1995 only has a speedometer. No Tachometer.
