I FINALLY PUT SOME SOUND IN THE SCREAMIN EAGLE 110 I HAVE, COULD NOT STAND THE QUEIT ANY LONGER, I DID NOT CHANGE PIPES JUST PUT THE V&H CLASSIC SLIP ONS AND DECEIDED TO GO WITH THE FUEL PACK, HAS A REAL GOOD SOUND NOT TO LOUD JUST RIGHT FOR A BAGGER, THIS 110 HAS A GOOD LICK TO IT TO BE FUEL INJECTED. THE COMBINATION OF THE SLIP ON'S AND THE FUEL PACK WOKE THE BEAST IN THE 110, THROTTLE RESPONSE IS UNREAL. WE ARE GOING ON A 250 MILE RIDE TODAY A LITTLE INTERSTATE RIDING BUT MOST OF IT TWO LANE AND IN MOUNTAINS, CAN'T WAIT TO FELL THE RESPONCE COMING OUT OF A CURVE.

My '99 TC88 FLHR stock 40 mm carb has the manual choke and it is driving me nuts. Sometimes it will stay out while warming up with no problem, and other times it acts like it is spring-loaded to stay off. Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot!?!?!?
I have turned the friggin' ring around it to tighten it, but it acts no different. I get around it by holding the ^%$# thing out when necessary, but sometimes going through icy 8000 ft elevations it ain't easy. That is when I wished I'd got fuel injection. Any ideas?

Help me man!
This is the very first forum I have ever joined. I am not a motor-head but love to ride with friends with the same interests of destinations.
My main reason for joining is because I need advise from people in the know about specific problems I am having with my 2001 Roadking FLHRC I. It is backfiring on decelleration. So far I have heard from friends, worn valve guides, bad spark plug wires, bad coil. Can you tell me or point me in the right direction.
I have taken it to the local Harley dealership for this problem. They tighened up the exhaust pipes to the motor, did a full service on it and it still backfires on the decell. I am not impressed with them. I am afraid to take it back to them so they can soak me for more money and not fix the problem. :fight:...
