Hi to all,
After 30 years of wanting one, I got my first Harley last fall. It was a deal I couldn't pass up. They weren't getting any cheaper and I wasn't getting any younger. I have an 883R Sportster in orange with a blacked out engine. My question is, since my limited resources are currently strained, what can I do to make it louder, (and safer...there are a lot of deer in my area) without replacing the tailpipes? I kind of like the looks of them... they just work a little too well.
Thanks for having this forum. I look forward to hearing from you all.

well, i picked up my 02 custom, yesterday.
drove it home in 30 mph winds, its nothing what i thought it would be, staying on the bike was tirering. my boots have problems staying on the forward controls, wind gusts push this bike all around, and the ride is like a hard tail.i cant even gun it like i want too,for fear of slipping off!!!
i think i have been on my tour glide for to long, cause it dosent wear me out like this bike. maybe after i get a windsheild , and figure out a way to hang on better i will come to like it.
but she is pretty, and quick.
TRG
ps
thank god for my old tour glide!!

I just purchased a 2004 FLHRS with 458 miles on it. No record of any type
service work. Should I change all the fluids and treat it like a new scoot, or
just ride it until it's ready for it's first service?
Thanks,
Ron

Hello All,
I am new to the Forum and new to the Harley world. I have own motorcycles sense before I had a license to drive one, but today I bought my first Harley. The reason I haven’t bought one up until now is that I felt like I was not the type of person to be riding one. I knew nothing about them and I would rather send my bike to the dealer to have the tire pressure check then do it my self. This is not the Harley mentality. I have changed my ways and I am now the proud owner of a 2004 883C Sportster. I felt that I had to buy this bike to rescue it from it owner. The original owner bought the bike just before he got into scuba diving and has put 1,000 miles on it in the last four years. That is not the worst part of it thought. For the last year or so he has had it parked...

Sunday is my wife's 57th birthday and she wanted to go see ZZ Top at the Houston Rodeo, so I got tickets online and we're headed up there. I'm dreading the traffic, reckon I'll come in on 288 from the south. 59 sux big time, constant construction, sux, sux, sux. I hate Houston, hate going there, hate dealing with it. But, I guess I'll HAVE to deal with it. But, up side, I've been a ZZ Top fan since "Tres Hombres" and "Fandango".
"Well they all call her Puta, 'cause no one really knows her name,
She works the cantina, dancin' and a lovin's her trade,
Her mama was Meskin and her daddy was an ace of spades....."
Or something like that. ROFL!
Drive that ol' Chrysler to Mesiko boys! BWAAA, ha, ha!
