Yesterday, I had a nice 8 point spook off the fence line from some guys on horseback working cattle on the big ranch next to my land. He ran within 15 yards of me, but I was using a Contender pistol and didn't take a running shot. I'd have easily gotten him with a rifle, but that's part of pistol hunting. It was a windy, cold morning and the deer were hold up other than the one that spooked.

starter rotates but will not stop spinning when I press starter button

Kill switch will not stop current to starter.

Battery cable has to be disconnected to kill current draw and stop the
starting cycle.

Starter 1.4 Kw All Balls - 1 year old - double ground to battery & frame
New Solenoid - 1 month old
New Relay - 6 months old
New Battery cables - 1 month old Terry

You tell me - why the starter will not disengage ?????

Well what may have been my last long ride of the year is over. Went from home to Annapolis MD, and spent some time wiht friends then we headed over to the Eastern shore and spent some time on another friends boat. I love the water almost as much as I love the highway! We rode up through New Jersy and New York to Conn. and spent a few days there. A side trip to Mass for breakfast at a killer Mexican joint. A trip to Vermont for Maple syrup. Then I caam back and made the Harley Plant in York PA. but they don't tour this time of year.....ah well I saw the outside, lol. Then down to Middleborough Kentucky to see a friend who is recouping from going over the high side back in October. Then down 25 to I 81 to I 40 and finally to I 26 and HOME. It has come up in discussions on some of the forums that many members wonder why you are closing the business entirely instead of selling it, or letting Sam or someone take over the day to day management while you take your semi-retirement and a less active roll in the day to day drudgery??

I wasn't the first one to ask the question, but I have to admit thinking exactly this when I first read your announcement on the VTF. It really seems that you have a great staff and a great customer base. Its just sad to see one of the premiere power players in the game shutting its doors.

Like everyone else here, I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors and with your health. I hope you will stay active at the VTF, or elsewhere and we may yet meet for a ride one day.

Well, received a call from the Harley shop today and my new 07 SE Ultra is in. We went down and looked at it today and that black with the Orange looks pretty nice. The bike is in PDI now and they have to wait for the only guy in the shop who is authorized to install the Lowjack system on the bike to get back off vacation. I really think HD should make the 103 motor their stock motor and use the 110 like the SE bike has in it as the motor to work up towards.
I understand this bike is 105 HP with 115 lbs torque. With pipes and the download for stage one I wonder what that will bring it up to.
