Due to health problems I am closing my businesses and semi-retiring. Direct Parts was started in November of 1995 and will officially close in November 2006. For eleven years we were one of the largest Internet and retail (as Creative Cycles) shops around. When I opened the site, the only other shops I found on line were Flaming Pig and Cyborg Cycles. We were one of the pioneers when it came to selling Harley parts on line and we are proud of what we have done. I have met many, many fine people both on line and in person and have enjoyed their friendships tremendously. There were some speed bumps along the way but for the most part, we enjoyed it all. Hey guys I am going to Lockport NY next week on business. It will be my first trip up that way and I am planning on seeing the falls on Monday. I'm flying into Buffalo and renting a car all week. Do ya'll know of any Harley shops or custom shops in the area?

as many of you know ive wrote that i was having a bike modified so i could ride two wheeles again,as luck would have it and the bike nearing being done,all hell breaks lose.on tuesday oct17th i go the emergency room with chest pains and cant breath,gets better from here ,friday the 20th open heart surgery triple bypass,i live in michigan with healing time ,guess i wont be riding this year.THAT SUCKS but im alive and doing good.............hook

I have a 03 Road king with a 103" Screaming Eagle,I also have a Mikuni carburetor. I would like to add a Harley Davidson cruise control to this bike,but was told there is no way to make this work? does anyone know of an after market add on to a Mikuni that would make it compatable to this?Also i was told there are no performance carburetors that are compatable to HD cruise controls,just stock CV carbs.Is this also true?

Figured I would complement bike talk and the sub's, this is a great place to converse and get to know folks you haven't met with the same interests. I always had a time finding something to do after I got back to the motel, as I don't sleep much on the road, now with the wireless I find myself checking in on this site through out the day, toting my laptop with me in my service truck. always curious what you all submit through out the day.
