CD, where are we going this year? Labor Day weekend falls between semesters this year, so I'll have no problem making it. BTW..the Las Vegas Review-Journal had an article a couple of Sundays ago about the Parry Lodge in Kanab.
Sleepy, if it's too far to ride this year from Calgary, fly to Las Vegas and ride my FJR. I'm going up to Sacramento 4th of July weekend to ride my RS back to Vegas..so I'll have an extra bike here.

My buddy has a 1997 Softail custom. It's never had any major engine work. It does have a cam, S&S carb and straight pipes.
He began hearing a new noise last weak. It sounds like it is coming from the rear of the primary and sounds like a light knocking. We checked the chain and it doesn't have any excessive slack or anything. We also checked it with a stethescope. It appears to be the loudest on the lowest bolt on the right side of the derby cover.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dave

2006 FLTRI with the following mods
Vance & Hines Dresser Duals
SE II slip-ons: A lot louder and in stereo.
SE air Cleaner
Stage 1 ECM
Dyno Numbers: ? hp, ? tq (no dyno run for me, yet)
I am running a map provided to me by someone running the same mods. It's a modified version of the M807-180 map. This map was modified with minor changes after a recent dyno run. So far it is working pretty good.
Gas Mileage:
15 June - 32mpg (single and 2-up city riding; next should be better since I got the throttle twist syndrome out of my system with the new sound of the SEs. May tweak the 1800-3400 rpm range a little leaner)
