Is there a huge difference between the new Harleys that are fuel injected vs. carburater? My 2004 Electra Glide seems to "cough" alot when I get out of the throttle and then get back into it. Like in traffic when you slow down and then accelerate again, I always have a skip before she takes off. The bike is all stock. I'm thinking of trading in on a fuel injected to get rid of this problem. Any suggestions on how to fix it or is this normal (just deal with it) Thanks.

My horn stopped working on my 2004 electra glide. I checked all the fuses but none are labeled as being for the horn. Someone said to check the horn relays and that they were located in the dash somewhere. Before I start tearing things apart(and forget how to put them back together) does anyone know where exactly the horn relays are. Thanks for the info and time.

I have had two people within the last year that I am close to buy motorcycles. I know one has rode before and will by "okay" eventually (first HD) the other has no experience other than riding in the neighborhood.
We went on a "poker run" that turned out to be more of a joker run...went a toal of 65 miles between 11 am and 6:30..... it was for "charity" most of these so called bikers/riders were (decked out in all the gear and galore) wobbling while in the parking lot and the longest stretch of our 65 mile "trip" as they called it was 13 miles!!! I had to stay away from all the knuckle heads( not the engine ) ...I showed my buddy how to position mirrors and explained how to ride so no one crosses the other ones path..not side by side and dang near wreck me. I also explained how to...

Stock 05 FLHTC SE air box & Hooker adjustable slip ons with the stock head pipes.
I've shimmed the needle 2 washers & polished the slide.
Tried both 48 & 46 pilot jets.
Tried both 190 & 200 main jets.
Adjusted the idle air bleed from 2.0 ~ 3.5 turns out, seems to run best about 2.75 turns out with the 46 pilot jet & 190 main.
Bike runs great warms up fast & about 42 MPG.
Is this decel popping at about 2,000 RPMs when the throttle is completly shut normal with these slip ons & stock header pipes?
Is there a different jet combo that would cure this?
I have checked for intake or exhaust leaks, none I could find. Sure would like to here from anyone running a similar setup with regaurds to decel poping.
Thanks,
Cracker

I'd be real interested in hearing from CD or anyone that has done performance mods on a VRod to get a head start on exhaust choice and aircleaner combo to start and any other mods I should be looking at for a 2004 rod.
