Ok, instead of running the screaming eagle air cleaner kit rubber tubes back into to back plate and re-suck them into the carb I thought about hooking them together with a filter. I know this will help a "little" bit in hp but mainly after the the best air/burn possible.(a little here and a little there). Anyone doing this? Is there a fliter out there for it..if not just gonna get one from the parts store and hide it behind the air cleaner back plate or route it to some where else with longer rubber hoses.

Have a 04 Fatboy with 2k miles and am anticipating switching to a synthetic oil. Have read several articles about the HD syn3 and also Amsoil synthetic. Anyone have any suggestions, pros, cons, dont give a rats a** ect. Also.....if I read the articles correctly, you can use SYN3 or the Amsoil syn in the engine, primary, and tranny. Is that correct?

How do you tell what model year a HD solid disk rim is? I bought it used and don't know if it is a 2000-02 or a 2003 or later. I know it after a 2000. The problem is if it is a 2000-02 I need to buy a wide tire kit and the guy who sold it to me lied! I am replacing the FXST stock spock rim with the solid disk.
I have my scoot torn down and need answers so I can get the bike put together prior to good riding weather!!!
Thanks all

Hi All,
New 05 FLHTC, 88" with stock heads and cams for now but do have some questions that I would appreciate some feed back on.
(1st) Ness or SE air box or?
(2nd) The CV carb, (shim the needle how much?) and adjust AF mix screw or change needle to the Sporster one and adjust AF screw or?
(3rd) Installing new Hooker slip ons with OEM header, what settings would you start out with on the hookers? Full TQ on left & full HP on right or set both at 50% or? I would prefer to learn toward the quieter sound as long as I don't loss a bunch of performance.
(4th) Have I missed anything (ignition or?) that would gain appreciable HP or TQ until I change to 95", cams and do the heads?
Thanks in advance for your comments !

Just wondering if there are any ideas about what saddlebag brackets are best for a 05' Harley Wide-Glide? Do you really need them with a quality set of saddlebags? Also if there is much hassle in relocating the rear tailights to the rear bolt holes? (Thanks DP for the great V and H Bigshot Pipes...sounds like a Harley now and with the PCIII...runs better to boot!.)
