I'm having a problem installing the primary chain. At the compensating sprocket the chain is .070 - .080 further out then at the clutch. This is
without any shim washers between the the extension shaft and rotor.
I have checked and rechecked to be sure that the sprocket and extention
shaft are seated properly and are tighten down. The stator rotor is a
Spyke 432410 (heavy duty). Between the rotor and stator I am using
a .090 shim washer which seems to be the rule with most motors. Can
this be my problem! Help!!

Hey everyone,
Long time no post I guess. I hope that everyone is doing fine. I am just as busy as all get out right now. Half work related other half wife related.
Woke up to 2 inches of snow yesterday. Then 23 degrees this morning. The weather people are calling for rain and snow mixed with temps around freezing tonight. This is not sounding anything like spring weather to me. I sure do hope that the rest of you guys are having better luck with getting some riding in. I actually uncovered mine on Saturday and set on her for a few. Her battery is still nice and warm in the basement. If all goes well this will be my last summer riding in Germany. I think that I have finally talked my wife into moving to the good old US of A. Look out Georgia here we come. I will...

I'm interested in getting a new set of chrome staggered dual exhaust pipes coated black. I haven't decided if they will be flat, satin, or gloss. Will powder coating work on exhaust pipes or is the "ceramic" coating I've heard about the only way to go. If there is another coating other than powder, who does it and how much?

I have recently had a kickstand problem. MY ole Lady backed into my FXR a while back and to her luck all that was damaged was a bent kickstand. I bent it up straight and welded it in case it was cracked. I just could'nt see mickymouseing something as important as that so I orderd one from custom chrome and now it's bending over now. My old one worked just fine but I never did like the desighn of it. I ordered one from Harley but thay are on back order. Is it true that on the 86 fxrs that the desing of them are garbage is so got any ideas?
