One of my biker buddies is having a problem with his kicker. It used to start between 1 and 3 kicks every time. Now it seems more like 100. He has an 83' Shovel with a Morris magneto. We've replaced the points twice, adjusted them several times, checked and rechecked the timing several times, replaced the plugs and wires, etc. Nothing seems to help and we've run out of ideas. Once it's running it runs great. Push starting doesn't seem to work well either. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Unfortunately, I through out my dwell meter back in the eighties along with my beta max and eight track player and haven't looked at a set of points since. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My 99 fatboy had me out for a ride the other day
up in the redwoods when I noticed I wasn't getting the speed i usually do
for the twist I was putting on.
Thinking it was some sort of brake drag I tapped my front brake,no prob.
I tapped my rear brake pedal and it SEEMED ok but the fat was not rolling smooth so I pulled over.
To my surprise the rear disc had started to blue. So I sat in the shade and let it cool off..... it seemed to roll ok so I rode home front brake only.
I am not a heavy rear brake user and this has never happened before.
I plan to get into it and maybe even replace the oem parts.
QUESTION IS does anybody know what would cause this brake drag.
all stock parts and 7500 miles.

I have a knock in the back of my lower end. But I also had a blown rear jug gasket and a burnt valve in the rear jug could that burnt valve and lower jug gasket make a knocking sound ? It was not loud.

I read the following advertisement and since I got stranded a couple of times out in the outback of Oregon with a flat on my Electra Glide, I wonder if that what they say is true:
1) Seals punctures instantly as you ride. (the hole will be sealed within a few rotations of the tire)
2) Automatically BALANCES your tires to ZERO balance. (saves you money and improves handling)
3) Special corrosion inhibitors prevent tire dry rot that leads to small slow leaks.
4) Extends tire life by 25% or MORE. (change your tires less often, saving you hundreds of $$$)
5) Helps your tires run cooler. (extending tire life and wear)
6) Seals punctures with fibers that are SIX TIMES STRONGER THAN STEEL.
7) Washes out simply with water.
8) Maintains proper inflation in your tires.
